The Reason Add new Bass Player and a Few Ontario Shows

THE REASON WELCOMES BACK RONSON!
And now for the news you’ve been waiting for. After almost a two and a half year hiatus, we have welcomed back founding member, original bassist, and longtime friend RONSON ARMSTRONG with open arms. As we returned home from our fall tour with Strung Out, and after long discussion with former bassist Sean Palmer, we both decided it would be best and mutually beneficial to part ways. Palmer is currently working as a soundman on tour with our friends, in Silverstein. He is a great friend, and an amazing sound technician, and we wish him the best of luck in the future…
Since reacquiring Ronson, we have been rehearsing like crazy, working out some old stuff and writing lots of new stuff as well. We have a lot to show you all! You can all come and help us welcome back our old friend by coming to one of our shows this week in either LONDON, GUELPH, or OTTAWA. All shows are with , and the Ottawa show is with Funeral for a Friend as well. These are our first shows in over a month since coming off tour. Our only other show before 2006 will be December 17, when we play the Burlington YMCA with Silverstein.
Which brings us into 2006. By the end of January, we will be in the studio recording the follow up to Ravenna, currently slated for release in the Spring. We are all very stoked about who is to produce this record, but we’ll save that announcement for a few more weeks…
Speaking of a few weeks, our website is due for a bunch of updates in a bunch of different areas. We will have new videos, pics, bios, and a fully functional merch page (with credit card ordering) ready for you in the coming weeks. Keep checking back for updates.

Moneen Documentary
Director / Producer Alex Liu has been travelling with Moneen for the past three years, and in that time he’s accumulated a ridiculous amount of footage featuring both their highs and their lows. So what to do with that? Make a movie, of course. ‘The Start To This May Be The End to Another’ is the result. The movie / documentary focuses on the band in the studio this summer, and the events over the past three years that got them to where they are today.
We laughed, we cried, we ordered a pizza. Should should too.
The Trailer for the film is now posted at the link below and the wide release of the movie will hopefully be in 2006.

Choke To Play Free Edmonton Show
Choke will be playing the Grand Opening of the new West 49th Store in the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton on Sunday November 27. The show is free, and there will be skate demos along with giveaways through the whole day.

Sylvie Album Garnering Great Reviews
An Electric Trace has started rolling out some great press in the first week of it’s release. Toronto’s NOW Magazine gave it 4 out of 4, while SPILL Magazine states that “They may just be the next Arcade Fire”.
