While in Toronto on the Boys Night Out Tour, the band was interviewed by ETalk Daily. What grace! What Stars! But what the hell happened to TJ? The early morning interview (11am…, come on) caught TJ off guard and he was abnormally quiet.

Sick City’s latest, Nightlife, has been reviewed in AP and it’s a pretty damb good review:
This City’s nightlife is worth scoping out.
While many aggressive rock bands attempt clean vocals, few do it well- which is why it’s surprising that newbies Sick City nail it their first time out. One of Nightlife’s first indicators of vocal success is “XX & XY,” which showcases the skills of front man Josh Youngson, who works his formidable range. One of Nightlife’s best tracks is “Moving, Not Moving Forward” which boasts an unforgettable chorus. The quintet have no problem kicking up the intensity, either, as “Millions” begins with a rollicking, metallic guitar riff, layered perfectly with Youngson’s unique voice to create a down-and-out rock song. In a huge sea of mediocre bands making unoriginal sounds, Nightlife is a cut above the rest.

The video is indeed quite spicey. But the real reason you’re reading this is to vote for the Turning Heads video at muchmusic. It’s there and itching to get played - if videos had thoughts and feelings, that is. Philosophical ramblings aside, go to any of the following links or email addresses (addressi?) and get your vote in for the video.
In exchange, you will receive one free hug from TJ.

So we’ve been sitting on this one a while, waiting for a couple of things to get worked out - but we can finally ‘officially’ announce this today, on heart to heart day. Sick City, from our hometown of Winnipeg, will be releasing their forthcoming full length on Smallman in Canada sometime in late spring/early summer. The album will be available to all you non-Canadians through some label called Trustkill.
If you haven’t heard this band, you should go now to their myspace page and give it a couple of spins. They are an incredble band with catchy hooks - and gooood looking to boot.
They’ll be heading into the studio to record the full length in March and then the touring will begin in earnest.
Smallman has already been working with the band as management, so they already know how great we are. I mean, we already know how great they are. Semantics…
