A few weeks ago, The Reason filmed the video for “We’re So Beyond This” in Toronto with good friend Sara Quin from the band TEGAN AND SARA and director Sean Michael Turrell. The video is just about ready to show you all, but until then, we’ve made a little teaser trailer for you all to check out. The video itself will hit MuchMusic in the next few weeks, so this teaser (all footage shot by The Reason) should tide you over until then.
We have also set up a full website for the song, weresobeyondthis.ca, where you can view the trailer, check out a slideshow of photos from the video shoot, download the mp3 for free, and even make an early request for the song if you feel so inclined.

CBK started their European tour on Friday, and their first stop was Helsinki, Finland. Sold out and insane. The band is doing a couple of Euro one-off shows (Russia, Portugal etc) and then hook up with Cancerbats, Parkway Drive, This is Hell and The Warriors to headline the Never Say Die Tour.
Check out some show footage from Helsinki below.

Sick City’s latest, Nightlife, has been reviewed in AP and it’s a pretty damb good review:
This City’s nightlife is worth scoping out.
While many aggressive rock bands attempt clean vocals, few do it well- which is why it’s surprising that newbies Sick City nail it their first time out. One of Nightlife’s first indicators of vocal success is “XX & XY,” which showcases the skills of front man Josh Youngson, who works his formidable range. One of Nightlife’s best tracks is “Moving, Not Moving Forward” which boasts an unforgettable chorus. The quintet have no problem kicking up the intensity, either, as “Millions” begins with a rollicking, metallic guitar riff, layered perfectly with Youngson’s unique voice to create a down-and-out rock song. In a huge sea of mediocre bands making unoriginal sounds, Nightlife is a cut above the rest.

You should go to spin.com (at the link below) and rate the album. Give it a five, you stingy bastards. Oh yah, here’s what spin had to say:
Artist of the Day on Spin.com: What’s the Deal? Too much passing for pop-punk nowadays so easily triggers irritation that it’s easy to get down on the entire genre. But then albums like Broadway Calls surface boasting songs like “Van Rides and High Tides,” where charging guitars give way to a buoyant chorus proclaiming, “My heart beats faster every night / Please let this last forever,” and suddenly you’re 15 again, singing your heart out in some kid’s basement, smiling and dancing like an idiot with 50 of your er, closest friends. Melodic romps like the vigorous “Escape from Capitol Hill” and “Call It Off” will touch a nerve with fans of the Loved Ones and Latterman, while the pounding and obscenely catchy “Suffer the Kids” is sure to get every ass in the room shaking.

The video is indeed quite spicey. But the real reason you’re reading this is to vote for the Turning Heads video at muchmusic. It’s there and itching to get played - if videos had thoughts and feelings, that is. Philosophical ramblings aside, go to any of the following links or email addresses (addressi?) and get your vote in for the video.
In exchange, you will receive one free hug from TJ.
